Knowledge Mapping Research

Knowledge Mapping Research is an umbrella name for Chaim Zins' R&D projects.

Chaim Zins is an information scientist specializing in knowledge mapping & knowledge organization, information searching, quality information, information services, and qualitative research, mainly in the Critical Delphi research methodology. 

Map of Human Knowledge

The Map of Human Knowledge is a product of a theoretical study and an empirical study. The empirical study was based on the Grounded Theory research methodology. The map was presented
at the Ninth ISKO (International  Society for Knowledge Organization) Conference in July 2006 in Vienna, Austria, and at the EVA/Minerva 2006 Conference on the Digitisation of Cultural Heritage (see the Conference Networking Sessions).

Portal to Human Knowledge

The Portal to Human Knowledge will be composed of 10,000 top quality resources.

Encyclopedic Portal to Wikipedia

The Encyclopedic Portal to Wikipedia is a systematic portal to the Wikipedia encyclopedia. It utilizes the Map of Human Knowledge for facilitating a systematic access to Wikipedia. Currently, it is the most updated version of the map.

Judaism: Essence and Content (Hebrew)

Judaism: Essence and Contents is an ongoing project based on a scientific study conducted at the University of Haifa in 2001-2003. 
This was a Critical Delphi study with an interdisciplinary panel composed of 54 leading scholars.

Recent Studies

In 2003-2005 Dr. Zins conducted a mapping study, "Knowledge Map of Information Science", which was supported by a research grant from the Israel Science Foundation (an organ of the Israel Academy of Science and Humanities). This was a Critical Delphi study with an interdisciplinary panel composed of 57 leading scholars from 16 countries.
