Philosophy of human biology studies the philosophical foundations of human biology. It elaborates fundamental concepts (e.g., “life,” “evolution,” “biological species”), discusses the implications of biological theories (e.g., evolutionary theory) and scientific discoveries (e.g., human genome, organ transplantation, stem cells), and establishes valid and reliable research methodologiesfor the human life sciences (see also cat. 5.1).  (C. Zins, 2011).

Humans and chimpanzees share the same kingdom (Animalia), phylum (Chordata), class (Mammalia), order (Primates), family (Hominidae, sub-family: Homininae), and tribe (Hominini).

We differ in genus (chimpanzees: Pan; humans: Homo) and species (chimpanzees: Pan troglodytes; humans: Homo sapiens). This is the big difference that makes us who we are.
  (C. Zins, 2011).

Rationale
Biology vs. human biology. For cultural and religious considerations the living world is studied in two pillars. Pillar 5 focuses on the non-human realm, pillar 6 on the human realm. However, from a scientific point of view biology and human biology are interrelated. They are part of the same broader discipline (field). Similarly, philosophy of biology and philosophy of human biology are interrelated too.  (C. Zins, 2011).

Note that the philosophical fields (e.g., philosophy of biology, philosophy of human biology, philosophy of life, and the like) are interrelated and partialy overlap.
