“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
(George Santayana, The Life of Reason, vol. 1, chapter 12, p. 284)

The Holocaust, the systematic murder of Jews by Nazi Germany (1933-1945) aimed at the total extermination of the Jewish people, was the worst crime in human history.  The Holocaust is a warning signal for humankind: Beware – it can happen again. The murderers were normal people who lost moral limitations and made wrong decisions. Everyone is a potential murderer and a potential victim. Beware." Chaim Zins, 10 Pillars of Knowledge, p. 130)
